My name is Aoife Beniston, a graduate of the Duncan of Jordanston College of Art and Design, with a Bachelor in Animation. Throughout my work with at university, I have not only done the best I could in my roles but have consistently adapted and taken the lead when necessary in the projects I have been involved in.

My education at ABA Oman started from kindergarten to high school, where I received my IB Diploma. I got a totally of 34 points, gaining the a 7 in higher level Visual arts.
Received a First Honours Degree for Animation BDes at DJCAD, University of Dundee.

Graduate Film - Chaos
March 2022 - May 2023
Position: Project Manager, Stroyboard Artist, 2D effects animator
For a year and a half, I took up multiple roles to help insure ''Chaos'' would be ready for the graduation show of 2023. Throughout the project, I was responsible managing the project tasks, helping delegate sad task to our teams members, working closely with the director and other storyboard artist on developing the shots and animatic, and communicating constantly with the entire team.

For this graduate film, my role was initial to help with liquid animation (water, cream. syrups etc). However, when the team needed an extra hand with the fire effects, I came to assist with the last few shots.

Position: 2D effects, Clean-up Animation, Storyboard,
In this 4th year film, I was an assistant 2D effect artist and worked closely with the director who was the only other effects animator. With her help, I learnt how to animate smoke and tears. When the team needed extra assistance with redrafting a shot and cleaning up a shot, I was quick to aid them.

Position: Co- Director, Project Manager, Storyboard, 2D effects, Character Animation, Clean-Up Animtion.
My first time taking on the role of a production manager, I learnt to organize meetings and take minutes, keep constant communication with the team, keep files in one places and make sure people knew their tasks. In all my other roles was to keep producing work to show to meetings as well as consitantly communicate where I was with my process in storyboarding and animation.

During the summer break between level 2 and 3 of my animation degree, I assisted with projects lead by Debjani Bhardwaj. The projects included a shadow puppet project based on an Omani folktale presented to the South Korean Embassy and creating merch based on the artist old piece of work.
Storyboard Artist

Creating a storyboard for the intro of the kick-starter project ''Muffin n' Puffin''. Through this project, I worked with the director, Giada Strinati. Paying close attention to the script and her feedback, I was able to create a 1 minute storyboarded intro, timed with the theme song.
Outdoor Instructor
April 2022 - September 2023
Working at an outdoor center, I have developed my skills not only within the outdoor activities but in leading and managing a group within different environments. During sessions I able to stay on scheduled and work with the program. When the scenario changes, I have learnt to adapt the session to the needs of the group. I work well
